Yamato Izumo Tsuchi Ningyo-“Clay Doll”
               From Izumo, Nara     
Tsuchi Ningyo - Clay doll.  Japan has a long history of clay dolls such as
the Haniwa Dolls in the Kofun Period. (3rd to 6th century AD).  
These Tsuchi Ningyo are made in Izumo (Nara) which sometimes
are shown in Japanese mythology.  All of our Tsuchi Ningyo items
are the symbol of good luck and good fortune. Please enjoy the
Japanese mythology world with traditional and simple Tsuchi Ningyo.
